We have been making these superfood smoothies every morning to kick off the day, and they are dynamite. It is good enough to wolf down during the morning rush, and good enough for a 3-year old to drink without questioning why it is green.

*Please use all organic ingredients*

4 large kale leaves, ripped off the stem by hand

7 raw almonds

1 cup almond milk (you can add more depending on what consistency you like)

1/4 cup of dried goji berries (these are a great source of antioxidants and you can find them near the bulk section at Whole Foods, or you can order them online at Sunfood)

1 Tbsp of honey

1 cup of lowfat plain yogurt (you can add more depending on what consistency you like)

1 Tbsp of chia seed (great source of omega-3 essential fatty acids)

1 Fuji apple (slice into quarters before putting into blender)

1 tsp of Maca powder (brain-powering amino acids)

1 handful of frozen organic berries (strawberries, blueberries, or a blend)

3 ice cubes

Place all ingredients in blender until smooth. Enjoy.
